Accessibility Service

AI Paste uses Android's Accessibility Service solely to access the system takeScreenshot() API, introduced in Android 11 (API 30). This is the only API that allows one-tap, full-screen capture without triggering the system screenshot UI or requiring a MediaProjection confirmation dialog on every use.

The Accessibility Service does not read, monitor, or interact with the content of any app on your screen. It does not log keystrokes, track navigation, or observe any user actions. onAccessibilityEvent is implemented as a no-op — no events are ever processed.

This app is not designed for users with disabilities. The Accessibility API is used exclusively as a screenshot mechanism.

Screenshots & Local Storage

When you capture a screenshot, the image is saved to your device's internal cache directory (cacheDir/screenshot_latest.png). This file is overwritten on every new capture — only one screenshot is ever stored at a time.

The screenshot is then copied to your clipboard as a local content:// URI so you can paste it into AI apps. This is a fully local, on-device operation.

Your screenshots are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with any server, including ours. No screenshot data ever leaves your device.

Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, or have access to any personally identifiable information. We do not operate any backend servers that receive data from this app.

The app does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details to use it.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

AI Paste displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain device identifiers — including the Android Advertising ID — and usage data to serve relevant ads. This data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of personalised ads at any time through your device's Google settings under Ads → Delete advertising ID or by disabling ad personalisation.

Third-Party Services

The app integrates the following third-party SDKs, each subject to their own privacy policies:

Google Play Services — provides core Android platform services.
Google AdMob — provides in-app advertising.

We do not integrate any analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs beyond those listed above.

Data Security

Because all screenshot data remains on your device, the security of your screenshots is governed by your device's own security model (lock screen, app sandboxing, encrypted storage). We do not transmit your data and therefore cannot be responsible for its interception in transit.

We do take reasonable precautions to ensure the app itself does not introduce vulnerabilities that could expose clipboard or cached data to unauthorised apps.

Children's Privacy

AI Paste is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used this app and you have concerns, please contact us and we will address them promptly.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, applicable law, or our practices. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.

Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
